www.uga.edu/relay/index.html
UGA students produced the first student-run Relay for Life in the country on the night of April 14, raising more than $100,000 for cancer research. The event began with a survivors’ lap at 6:30 p.m. and continued throughout the night with participants taking turns circling the Spec Towns track. Entertainment in the evening hours halted for a candlelight service for cancer victims. Following the midnight entertainment set, participants slept while waiting their turn in the relay. Closing ceremonies at 10 on Saturday were followed by a final lap. Photos are available on the Web site, along with contact information.
