UGACard office hours
University IDs are made at the UGACard office in the Tate Student Center. Cost is $7; photo identification must be provided. Employees and dependents must be included in the appropriate database before the card can be made; students must complete OASIS registration first. Cards for dependents require submission of a request form at least five working days in advance. The office is regularly open weekdays, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. It will be closed for renovations May 22-June 2. Legion Pool open
Legion Pool is open for the season through Aug. 12, daily from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Admission is $2 for faculty and staff member ($1 student); children accompanied by an adult are $1.50 for ages three-15 and free for two and younger. Guests in the company of a faculty or staff member are $3 per person. Season passes can be purchased for $70 ($35 student) and $35 per child. The pool may be reserved for evening pool parties and birthday celebrations. For information, call 542-8527.

Award applications
The College of Arts and Sciences at Georgia State University is now accepting applications for the inaugural Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Partnership Award for Campus-Community Collaboration. The award recognizes exceptional efforts to strengthen the lives of families and local communities undertaken by a Georgia college or university in partnership with a community group. Award winners receive $10,000 for the continuation of the selected program, shared equally by the campus and community partners.
The award is open to collaborative campus-community improvement projects that have been in operation for at least one year; award criteria include a high level of shared decision making between campus and community partners and a focus on families, economic opportunity, learning and research.
The application deadline is June 30. The award selection committee will include representatives from community groups, higher education and business. The award ceremony will be held Nov. 15 on the campus of Georgia State University in Atlanta. McPhaul summer program
The McPhaul Child Development Center has a small number of openings for the summer program for children ranging in age from those who have just finished pre-kindergarten through those who have just finished second grade. The seven-week summer session runs from June 12 through July 28; cost is $110 per week. The program will offer a wide range of activities for this multi-age group, including field trips and water play. For information, call 542-4924.

Forever Fit program
The Ramsey Student Center has added “Forever Fit” classes to the summer schedule. These classes are designed for participants over the age of 30 and include a range of fitness activities, from weight training to walking and step aerobics to water aerobics. Classes meet Mondays, 5:10-6:10 p.m.; Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30 a.m.; and Thursdays, 12:10-1:10 p.m. Call 542-5060 for more information.
