Faculty Spanish classes
The Office of International Development is sponsoring conversational Spanish classes for UGA faculty this fall. A beginner-level class meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 12:20-1:10 p.m., in 204 Sanford Hall; an advanced class meets Tuesday and Thursday, 12:30-1:45 p.m., in 414 journalism building. Enrollment is limited to 20 participants per class; cost is $30. For information or to register, call Jackie Roberts, 542-7887.

Community education courses
Registration for fall community education courses at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education begins Aug. 24. More than 100 non-credit courses will be offered, in areas like real estate; financial planning and basic investing; grant proposals; computers; Spanish and Italian; ballroom dance, swing and salsa; art; quilting; photography; T’ai Chi; yoga; massage; meditation; golf; fly fishing; campcraft; and travel. Catalogs are available in room 191 of the Georgia Center. Most courses begin the week of Sept. 25. Registration may be done online (www.georgiacenter.org/cep) or by phone (542-3537).
