Graduate Women’s Consortium
The Graduate Women’s Consortium, a newly formed interdisciplinary support group, will hold its first organizational meeting Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in room 103 of the Benson Building. WebCT 3.0 open house
WebCT, the system that provides Web-based instructional resources for UGA, can be used to create online courses or to publish materials online to supplement existing courses. A new version of WebCT--3.0--will be in use for spring 2001. University Computing and Networking Services and the Office of Instructional Support and Development will introduce the new version at an “open house” Sept. 26 in rooms K and L of the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. Potential and current users of WebCT can drop by any time between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to meet the UGA WebCT support team.

Systemwide staff conference
The seventh annual University System of Georgia Staff Conference will be Oct. 5-6 at Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta. All UGA staff are invited to attend. The registration form can be found on the Web on the University System of Georgia Staff Council page (www.gsu.edu/~wwwsen/usgsc/index.html, under “Annual Conference History”; and www.uga.edu/ugasc/statewide/Regform.htm).
