U.S. higher education: The numbers
http://chronicle.com/free/almanac/2000/almanac.htm
The Chronicle of Higher Education has posted its entire “Almanac” for this year on its Web site. The annual almanac includes national and state-by-state data on colleges and universities and their students, faculty and staff members and finances.
Some segments of the report, such as the “roll call of the states” for nine major issues affecting higher education, are only available to Chronicle subscribers, using their password to the site. Subscription can be initiated on line.
Other categories are available to all readers: national data on college-enrollment trends, faculty salaries, test scores, degrees awarded, tuition and fees, spending on research and development, student aid, and more.
