Radio essays
WUGA-FM is looking for essays from the university and Athens-area community to air on a new season of its public affairs presentation, From All Sides. The three-minute commentaries are scheduled for broadcast on Fridays at 4:25 p.m. If you have expertise in a specific issue of community concern or a human interest story to tell, WUGA welcomes your volunteer contributions to your local National Public Radio affiliate. For information, contact Mary Kay Mitchell, news director (mitchelm@gactr.uga.edu; 542-1939).

Health screenings
In conjunction with this year’s Campaign for Charities, the university community is invited to drop by the Georgia Center for Continuing Education between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Oct. 3 for health screening tests from some of the campaign agencies. Blood pressure, glaucoma, cholesterol and diabetes tests will be among those offered. The event also offers the opportunity to meet agency volunteers and find out about organizations that can be supported through the campaign.

Bulletin Board prints announcements from campus-based organizations whose membership includes UGA faculty and/or staff. Send notices by e-mail, campus mail (A-205 Stegeman Coliseum, Campus Mail 4371) or fax (542-8020).
