The safe university community
www.uga.edu/safeandsecure/
The university’s annual report on campus security issues, “Safe and Secure,” is this year being published on the Web. It includes policies, guidelines, suggestions and contact information for almost any issue which might arise, from how to prevent theft to what to do following a bomb threat.
Also included are the annual crime statistics, made available to the campus community by the University Police Department each year since 1969. One chart reports level and type of crime on campus for the past three years. A second chart lists crimes at off-campus locations used primarily by students, and a third reports the number of alcohol, drug and weapons violations which were referred to the UGA Student Judiciary.
Readers who do not have Web access can request a printed copy of the guide by calling 542-8088.
