| New student intern program The Honors Program is offering an Honors in Washington, D.C., Internship Program for the summer of 2001. The program will award five students a $1,500 stipend to support participation in an internship program in a congressional office, an executive agency, or a non-profit organization. Students also may use the stipends to defray the costs of participating in the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Programs (www.twc.edu) or any other approved Washington, D.C., internship program. Placement assistance will be provided by the Honors Program for award winners. Students will have the opportunity to earn academic credit for their internship, either through their major department (if available) or through an approved Honors Program seminar course. Drop-in aerobics The fitness and wellness department of Recreational Sports is offering drop-in aerobic passes for the rest of this semester at half-price: $27.50 for faculty and staff, $20 for students. Participants must already be a member of the Ramsey Student Center. Bulletin Board prints announcements from campus-based organizations whose membership includes UGA faculty and/or staff. Send notices by e-mail, campus mail (A-205 Stegeman Coliseum, Campus Mail 4371) or fax (542-8020). |
