Science library closes during fall break for renovation

The science library will close early Oct. 25 and be closed to the public Oct. 26--during fall break--due to a renovation project on the main floor.
“This is a very unusual occurrence,” says William Gray Potter, university librarian. “Our hope is that this schedule, of the options available to us, will cause the least amount of disruption to our patrons. We will certainly make every effort to accommodate students, faculty and staff.”
The library will close at 6 p.m. on Oct. 25 and reopen at 8 a.m. on Oct. 27. The main library will be open on the usual schedule.
Anyone needing materials from the science library while it is closed will be able to make a request by phone or e-mail. Staff will pull the materials, check them out and meet the patron in the lobby of the Boyd Graduate Studies Building, where the library is located. Patrons needing materials should call 542-4535 or 542-0706 or send an e-mail request to science@uga.edu. Delivery details will be worked out with each patron.
