Georgia Museum of Art
Romita Ray has been appointed curator of the Mark and Debra Callaway Department of Prints and Drawings at the Georgia Museum of Art. As curator, Ray will develop exhibitions, work with students from the Lamar Dodd School of Art in the study of prints and drawings and be responsible for the conservation and care of the museum’s extensive collection of works on paper.
A native of Calcutta, India, Ray received a B.A. degree in art history from Smith College and an M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D in art history from Yale University. An expert in 18th- and 19th-century British art, Ray’s current research focuses on the visual history of tea consumption in Europe and the colonies.

Coming from the Georgia Center for Continuing Education, a public service and outreach unit of the university, Mills succeeds Thomas Rodgers, who now serves as associate dean for the College of Family and Consumer Sciences. Mills is the 2000 Walter B. Hill Fellow for Distinguished Achievement in Service. Currently, Mills serves on the board of directors for the International Association of Continuing Education and Training. Over the years, Mills has served on numerous public service and university committees, such as the steering committee for the SACS Self-Study and the Information Technology Forum.
