Promotion and tenure policies and guidelines
The Promotion and Tenure Sub-Committee of the Faculty Affairs Committee of the University Council invites faculty comments and opinions about the university’s Promotion and Tenure Policies and Guidelines. The comments and opinions will assist in the rewriting of the current policies and guidelines, with the general aim of streamlining the process and eliminating contradictions in the policies and guidelines.
Comments may be submitted in writing or orally. Both written and oral comments should be specific and concise.
Written comments should be sent by April 25 to Lettie L. Lockhart, Social Work, 303 Tucker Hall (lockhart@uga.edu).
Sub-committee hearings will be held for those wishing to speak. These hearings will be held April 17 and 18 during the morning (9 a.m.-noon) and on April 24 and 25 during the afternoon (1-5 p.m.) in the conference room on the fourth floor of Rusk Hall. If you wish to speak at a hearing, please contact Mark Reinberger by e-mail (reinberg@uga.edu) to reserve a time slot. Approximately five minutes will be allowed each speaker.
