Counting Georgians--then and now

This new addition to the Web site for the Carl Vinson Institute of Government offers historical context for the just-released federal census figures for Georgia. The Georgia Historical County Population Web site contains population figures for each Georgia county for every decade from the present back to the time at which the county was created. The information is available in one convenient table.
The site also has convenient links to additional information and maps for each Georgia county, as well as links to detailed census information.
