Run, Spot, Run
The 10th annual Doggie Dash, sponsored by the College of Veterinary Medicine Canine Club, was held at Lake Herrick on April 7. The 2-kilometer course allowed dogs and their owners to strut their stuff while fighting canine cancer. Photography by Janet Beckley

Toni Pomerene, left, a visiting professor in speech communication and Women’s Studies, and Louise (“Weezy”) took to the paths of Lake Herrick in style.
Leslie Bauer, above, a junior at the vet college, was one of more than 100 participants (plus their dogs) taking part in the race. The proceeds from the Doggie Dash go to the Nicky Fund for Canine Cancer Research at the College of Veterinary Medicine.
