The International Student Life Office is looking for volunteers to help temporarily host new international students for fall 2001. Temporary housing volunteers--faculty, staff and students--are needed Aug 6-11 to help welcome international students to UGA. For additional information or to volunteer, contact the ISL Office at 542-5867.
Press director candidates
The first candidate for the directorship of the University of Georgia Press will meet informally with interested faculty and staff during a campus visit May 22. Nicole Mitchell, currently director of the University of Alabama Press, will be available from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Hargrett Room of the main library. Search committee chair James Cobb says campus visits for additional candidates are being arranged. Similar meetings will be announced once dates and times are confirmed.
