Proposed College of Environment and Design takes shape

Capping off their college career
More than half of this spring’s 3,000 undergraduate degree recipients attended Commencement May 12 at Sanford Stadium. Georgia Gov. and UGA alumnus Roy Barnes, keynote speaker at that ceremony, encouraged graduates to look to the future as they continue to study the past. An estimated 900 candidates for master’s, doctoral and specialist degrees took part in a separate Commencement ceremony that afternoon. James Muyskens, CEO of the Gwinnett University Center, was the keynote speaker. Photo by Paul Efland
