Bulletin board
Sanford Drive changes
As part of the ongoing project to convert D.W. Brooks Drive to a pedestrian mall, a parallel portion of Sanford Drive has been converted to two-way traffic. Signage and striping on the one-way section of Sanford Drive from Cedar Street (adjacent to Dawson Hall) south to Green Street (adjacent to Snelling Hall) has been changed. The remaining portions of Sanford Drive already are two-way and will remain so.
Also in connection with the project, Campus Transit buses will begin new routes Aug. 16. Routes that previously travelled northbound on D.W. Brooks Drive now will travel northbound on the parallel portion of Sanford Drive from Carlton Street to Cedar Street. D.W. Brooks Drive will remain open to vehicle traffic during early stages of the mall conversion, but beginning in mid-November, sections will be closed permanently as mall construction progresses south to north from the area of the Miller Plant Sciences Building to Cedar Street beside Conner Hall.
Bulletin Board is limited to announcements from campus-based organizations whose membership includes UGA faculty and/or staff.
