During the summer, a photo gallery about Cumberland Island was added to the GeorgiaInfo section of the Vinson Institute of Government Web site. The site will be useful to those interested in environmental sites as well as those considering a visit to the island. In addition to a wide selection of photographs--of different areas on the island, cultural sites, wildlife, and such--there are several different maps and satellite photos. An introduction by Ed Jackson, the senior public service associate with the Vinson Institute who created the site, offers background and guidance for potential visitors.
