Learn about the ecosystem
www.uga.edu/srel/outreach.htm

Although the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory is first and foremost a research institution, it operates an active outreach program to share that research with the public. The outreach pages on the SREL Web site provide some entries for adults and children alike.
Teachers especially should be aware of the educational programs available--Ecologist for a Day, ecotalks and tours, exhibits and more. The “Animal of the Week” segment (a spotted salamander at last check) can be downloaded in PDF format for later use, as can the cartoon story of Mud E. Boot and his ecological adventures.
