Flu shot clinic
The University Health Center is offering a walk-in flu shot clinic, beginning Nov. 26 and continuing through Dec. 14. Shots will be given on weekdays between 1 and 4:30 p.m. on the second floor of the health center. Students, staff, faculty and faculty emeritus are eligible. The cost is $10 and may be paid for with cash, check or credit card. The health center will not file insurance forms for the flu shot.

Sweet Pea Club
The State Botanical Garden is now accepting registrations for the Sweet Pea Club, a four-session introduction to the natural world for children ages 3-5 and their parent helpers. Club meets Fridays in January, 9-10:15 a.m. Cost is $20 ($18 for members); fee for a second child is $8. Each session focuses on a different topic; programs involve puppet shows, storytelling, indoor and outdoor activities, nature crafts, and garden walks. For information, call 542-6156.

Peanut delivery delay
The UGA Agronomy Club received more than 400 orders for peanuts this year, mostly from campus. Because the supplier had to delay delivery, orders were not available to pickup Nov. 13-15 as originally arranged. As soon as a new pickup date is confirmed, it will be posted on the club’s Web site, www.cropsoil.uga.edu/AgrClub.html.

Museum gift registry
The museum shop at the Georgia Museum of Art is offering a gift registry through Dec. 23. Museum visitors can sign up for the service by asking a shop staff member for an index card and providing your name and a few shop items you would like to receive. Those who register may purchase any one item at a 25 percent discount; those who use the registry to purchase gifts will receive a 15 percent discount.

Call for papers
The annual one-day university-wide student symposium sponsored by the Women’s Studies Program showcases the diversity and vitality of feminist scholarship at UGA and gives students the opportunity to present their scholarly work in public to a sympathetic and interested audience. All UGA students are invited to submit four copies of a one-page, typed abstract briefly describing either a work-in-progress or a term paper, poster or research paper already submitted in class. Deadline for submissions is Jan. 11. Participants will be selected by Feb. 1 and final papers will be due Feb. 23. The symposium is scheduled for March 1.
Send abstracts to Student Symposium Committee, Women’s Studies Program, Benson Building.

Taste of Georgia
UGA Collegiate FFA is once again sponsoring its “Taste of Georgia” gift box sale. Proceeds help the FFA travel to state and national leadership activities and support scholarships and local FFA events.
Each gift box is $22 and includes peanuts, peanut brittle, a pecan log, and jars of honey, Vidalia onion relish, peach preserves and blackberry jam.
To order, send name, address, phone number, order quantity and check to UGA FFA, Agricultural Education, 106 Four Towers. Orders must be placed by Nov. 30 and can be picked up in the Four Towers lobby between noon and 6 p.m. on Dec. 10 and 11.
For more information, call 542-8913.

Bulletin board is limited to announcements from campus-based organizations whose membership includes UGA faculty and/or staff.
