Healthcare plan survey
At the request of the board of regents, representatives from the A.L. Burruss Research Institute at Kennesaw State University are currently conducting a telephone survey of University System employees and retirees who were enrolled in either the PPO or the PPO Consumer Choice healthcare plan during 2001. The telephone survey will include randomly selected employees and retirees and may include questions on the provider network, provider care, member satisfaction, or understanding of the plan.
Pregnancy study
Women in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy and between the ages of 18 and 40 are needed for a study in the department of exercise science aimed at better understanding the changes in physical activity and back function that occur during pregnancy. Participants can receive gift certificates up to $50. For more information, call Melanie at 542-4138.
Director review
A committee conducting a five-year review of the director of the Office of Instructional Support and Development, William K. Jackson, seeks input from members of the university community and other interested parties. The committee does not intend to review OISD in particular, unless a specific aspect is attributable to Jacksons administrative activities.
The committee consists of Joe Crim (cellular biology, chair), Steve Gamble (instructional resources/OISD), Peggy Kreshel (journalism and mass communication), Sherrie Nist (academic assistance) and Kathleen Smith (OISD).
The committee prefers input via the Web site: webs.cb.uga.edu/jackson.htm. Input by letter or e-mail should be directed to the committee chair (Cellular Biology, 724 Biological Sciences; crim@cb.uga.edu), who also will receive requests (542-3383) for interviews with the committee. Input should be submitted by March 29. The committee will treat all input confidentially.
