“Dr. Reddy has been a key member of our marketing faculty for some years now. I am confident that his expertise and leadership will guide the center to new heights,” says Dean P. George Benson.
The Coca-Cola Center for Marketing Studies identifies and develops new programs and methods that better serve the marketing community’s needs for education and information. The Master of Marketing Research Program, a nationally recognized graduate program within the Terry College of Business, is administered by the center.
Reddy succeeds marketing professor Tom Leigh, who holds the Tanner Chair in Sales Management, as the center’s director.
“The goal of the center is to effectively administer the several programs in place, recruit new students to participate and maintain support for the program internally and externally,” says Reddy. “In the future we hope to expand the scope of research which will have a bearing on the activities of the center and enhance our continuing education programs.”
Currently, Reddy is forging relationships with companies in several markets, including IBM, M&M Mars and Bristol-Myers-Squibb.
Reddy’s other initiatives for the center include facilitating the upcoming release of the center’s first newsletter and creating avenues for the growth and expansion of the center’s executive development program and other certificate programs.
Reddy has been a part of the marketing faculty in the Terry College for more than 10 years. He received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1983. Prior to joining the Terry College, Reddy taught at New York University, Columbia University and UCLA. In 1998, he taught as a visiting professor at Stanford University. Reddy has lectured at institutions in Holland, France, Italy and Singapore.
