Regents turn 70
www.usg.edu/bor70th

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the University System of Georgia. The Board of Regents staff has prepared a brief history of the system, available directly on the system Web site and in portable document format by a link on that site.
In 1932, the system included three universities, six senior colleges, three junior colleges, two experiment stations, nine A&M schools, and three colleges for blacks.
There have been 10 chancellors since the system was created.
