The health needs of Georgia’s growing Latino population will be the focus of the second annual Latino conference at UGA July 29-31. Marilyn Aguirre-Molina, professor of clinical public health at Columbia University, will give the keynote address. The cost for the conference is $150 before June 28 and $175 after. Postal rates change
Campus Mail Services reminds UGA departments and employees that U.S. postal rates will change on July 1. In general, all services and postage rates will increase. The basic new rates are: letters: 37 cents for one ounce or less, 60 cents for two ounces, 23 cents for each additional ounce; priority mail: $3.85 for weights below one pound, increasing for greater weight and more distant zones.
International rates are not affected, but probably will increase in January.
Departments that are interested in scheduling mailings before the rate change can call Campus Mail at 542-7031.

Personal training special
The department of recreational sports is offering special fees on the personal training program during the summer: four sessions, $75; six sessions, $120; nine sessions, $180; and 13 sessions, $240.
Those who purchase a package during June may bring a friend to one of the workout sessions.
For more information, call the 542-5060 or visit the Web site (www.uga.edu/recsports).

Women in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy and between the ages of 18 and 40 are needed for a study in the department of exercise science aimed at better understanding the changes in physical activity and back function that occur during pregnancy. Participants will come to the McPhaul Center for two visits, about one hour each, in which they will play with their child in different episodes. For each visit, participants will receive $15.
At the end of the study, participants will receive a videotape of their child’s participation in the study. For more information, call Natasha at 583-0031.
