Fitness, wellness classes
The department of rec sports is now registering for fall aerobic and instructional programs. The cost for faculty and staff is $55 per semester.
Classes offered include tennis, yoga, power yoga, pilates, nutrition, boxing, Latin and ballroom dance, self-defense and aerobic instructor training.
The aerobics schedule consists of resista-ball training, bootcamp, box and step, cardio-plus, cardio core, express, hi/lo power, interbal, kickboxing, power bar, step I and II, triple fit and turbokick.

College-readiness courses
The Georgia Center for Continuing Education is now offering two online college readiness courses developed by the Adult and Nontraditional Student Educational Resources and Services program.
The first course, Developing a Support System for the Non-Traditional Learner, offers guidelines for receiving and giving support while pursuing online studies. The second course is Making Time for Academic Success: A Personalized Time Management System.
Each five-hour course consists of online reading and assessments, and each student has 30 days to complete the course. Cost is $49.

UGACard office hours
University IDs are made at the UGACard office in room 320 in the Tate Student Center. Cost is $7; affinity cards are $10. Photo identification must be provided.
Employees and dependents must be included in the appropriate database before the card can be made; students must complete OASIS registration first.
Cards for dependents require submission of a request form at least five working days in advance.
The office is open weekdays, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. It will be open from 9 a.m. until noon on Aug. 31 and closed for Labor Day on Sept. 2.
The UGACard office also produces passport, immigration and résumé photos for $8 for a set of two.

Personal training available
Faculty and staff can now sign up for the department of recreational sports personal training program for fall.
