Research awards nominations
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2003 Robert C. Anderson Memorial Awards. The deadline for receipt of nominations is Dec. 3. The award consists of an honorarium to recognize the research accomplishments of two former UGA graduate students. Nominations may be made by any member of the graduate faculty.
The deadline for nominations for the 2003 Creative Research Awards and Creative Research Medals is Nov. 5.

Nominations should be forwarded to the UGA Research Foundation, 609 Boyd Graduate Studies Research Center.

Digital language research
The Digital Language Research Laboratory, a multimedia resource for language researchers and educators, is sponsoring a series of workshops this semester.
Topics range from basic digitizing and presenting of audio-video media to using CGI programming and XML for research in language. A workshop schedule is posted at www.uga.edu/dlrl. Sign-up sheets will be placed outside of the laboratory in 124 Aderhold.
