The University Office of Security Preparedness was created in July 2002 to coordinate security planning and management at UGA. The office’s Web site provides current information on campus and national alert status.
The alert page provides space for specifically alerting the UGA community to local risks.
It also offers links to related university, state and federal security-preparedness information. Federal units linked include the Office of Homeland Security, the departments of defense and justice, the FBI, the Immigration and Naturalization Service, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
