Residence hall sign-up now on line

Residence hall sign-up for the 2003-2004 academic year, which begins Feb. 24, will be done completely online through a Web-based computer program. Residents will be able to reserve a space for a preferred roommate, provided that this person is currently living on campus. Once preferred roommates receive their appointment date and time, they can then complete the matching process by choosing the space reserved by their preferred roommate.
Sign-ups will be available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Feb. 24 through Feb. 28. The sign-up schedule is:
• Feb. 24: Current residents of Boggs, Church, Hill, Lipscomb, Mary Lyndon, McWhorter, Mell, Morris, Oglethorpe, Payne, Reed and Soule halls will be able to sign up for their current room. Residents in Brumby, Creswell, and Russell will not be permitted to sign up for their current spaces because buildings have been reserved for 2003 first-year students.
• Feb. 25: Residents of Boggs, Church, Hill, Lipscomb, Mary Lyndon, McWhorter, Mell, Morris, Oglethorpe, Payne, Reed and Soule Halls will be able to sign up for a different space in their current residence hall.
• Feb. 26: Residents with a Feb. 26 appointment time will be permitted to select another space on campus.
• Feb. 27: Residents with a Feb. 27 appointment time will be permitted to select another space on campus.
• Feb. 28: Residents with a Feb. 28 appointment time will be permitted to select another space on campus.
Residence hall contracts for the assigned spaces will be mailed directly to residents on March 3. Residents will need to review their 2003-2004 academic year contract, sign it, and return the contract with a $275 prepayment by March 10.
