Plagiarism detection service
www.turnitin.com
The University System of Georgia is participating in a pilot study this semester conducted by Advanced Learning Technologies and dealing with Turnitin.com.
Turnitin.com is a Web-based plagiarism detection and prevention service that enables both students and faculty to submit student papers to be checked for originality against online content and a database of articles and papers.
Any USG faculty member may use the service during the pilot. Participating faculty will be asked to complete four short surveys relating to their experience with plagiarism.
Interested faculty should contact Liz Johnson (Liz.Johnson@usg.edu; 678-407-5437), supplying, for each course:
Faculty name, department, institution;
Course ID and title;
Primary course delivery format: fully online, Web-enhanced, GSAMS or face-to-face.
