Promotion, tenure Q&A
Arnett Mace, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost, will conduct a question-and-answer session on the promotion and tenure process for all interested faculty from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on April 24 in room 137 of the Student Tate Center. For more information, call 542-6777.
Swim lessons
The department of physical education and sport studies is now enrolling children in this summers Learn to Swim program.
Children are eligible between the ages of 3 and 15. Fee is $60 per child per session, non-refundable. Classes meet daily in the Ramsey Student Center pool, weekdays except holidays.
Morning classes meet from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Four sessions are scheduled: May 27-June 6, June 9-19, June 23-July 3 and July 7-July 17. Beginners (ages 3-7) must bring a plastic inner tube and a parent in a bathing suit.
Evening classes are open to beginners and intermediates only. Classes meet 6-7 p.m. May 27-June 6. Evening class registration is by phone only, at 542-5947.
Registration for morning classes is done by check, by mail to Ilse Mason, Physical Education and Sport Studies, Ramsey Student Center, Campus Mail 6551.
Summer camp
Open registration begins April 7 for the remaining slots in the McPhaul Center school-age summer camp. This camp is offered to children who will be entering kindergarten, first, or second grades in the fall of 2003.
The cost is $110/week, which includes all meal and field trip costs. The camp runs June 2-July 25, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Applications will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis until the camp is full (20 children).
Applications must be filled out at the McPhaul Center main office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. A deposit of $110 is due at the time of enrollment; it will be applied to the last week of camp. Call 542-4929 with questions.
Bulletin board is limited to announcements from campus-based organizations whose membership includes UGA faculty and/or staff.
