Fitness registration
The rec sports department of fitness and wellness is now accepting registrations for fall aerobic and instructional classes. Participants can dance through a hip-hop class, increase their flexibility in yoga, or try new bikes in cycle. For more information call 542-5060 or stop by the cashier’s desk located in the main entrance to the Ramsey Student Center.

Safe Space orientation
Safe Space is a campus-wide initiative to provide a visible message of inclusion, acceptance and support to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people at UGA. The program provides a free orientation to raise awareness and knowledge of LGBT issues and to suggest ways to serve as an ally to LGBT individuals. Participants receive a resource guide and a Safe Space decal to display in their work space. Next orientation is Aug. 28 from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

Statewide conference
The annual statewide University System Staff Council conference is scheduled this year for Oct. 2-3 in Augusta. Cost is $45 per person; deadline for registration is Sept. 15. Details and online registrations are at www.aug.edu.

Program registration
Registration is now under way for fall classes with Business and Community Programs at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. A complete course listing, as well as online registration, is available at: www.gactr.uga.edu/bcp.
