Historic Georgia

During the Depression, the Works Progress Administration oversaw several programs meant to make use of the talents of unemployed writers and artists.
The Historic American Buildings Survey produced an archive of photographs of buildings of historical and cultural importance around the United States.
The photographs from Georgia have been made available by the staff of the Georgia Tech library.
Viewers can examine individual photographs or pages from the scrapbook in which they were collected; an introductory essay traces the role of the WPA in the 1930s. |
