	Gated community The new iron fence at the southern end of Brooks Mall reflects South Campus’s focus on science and agriculture with botanical motifs

Donna Brooks, a senior communications science and disorders major in the College of Education, walks by the fence, a replica of an 18th-century iron fence created in a Philadelphia foundry for a New Orleans mansion whose owner was homesick for the Kansas prairie.
