Fighting cancer on the run
This year’s Relay for Life is scheduled for April 2–3
at Spec Towns track.
The 18-hour relay is organized at UGA by the campus chapter of the
American Cancer Society. Last year’s relay raised $187,000—the
most successful college relay in the country for schools of more
than 20,000 students.
Teams have been organized by student organizations, faculty groups,
campus units, labs, offices. Each team keeps one member circling
the track all night long, taking turns and cheering everyone on.
