Marketing research award
Applications are now being accepted for the first Betsy J. Peterson Marketing Research Association Award, which will cover the cost of tuition in the Principles of Marketing Research certificate program offered by the Georgia Center for Continuing Education and the Marketing Research Institute International.

The application deadline is May 1. For an application or for more information, visit www.principlesofmarketingresearch.org.

Self-defense classes
Safe Campuses Now and the UGA Police Department offer their two-part program in self-defense for women this month. The program begins with a safety awareness and prevention session April 21, 6–7:30 p.m., in 142 Tate Student Center. A hands-on self-defense workshop follows April 28, 5–9 p.m., in Georgia Hall A of the Tate Student Center. The class is free but advance registration is required and space is limited to 50 women. To register, call 354-1115 or e-mail uga@safecampusesnow.org.
