September is Preparedness Month
Gov. Sonny Perdue has designated September as Preparedness Month
in Georgia.
The UGA Office of Security Preparedness Web site permits easy access
to state and federal Web sites related to emergency preparedness.
The office emphasizes that preparing for emergencies can make the
difference in surviving natural disasters or terrorist attacks.
Members of the UGA community are encouraged to take stock of their
readiness level, both at work and at home.
Information on the current homeland security threat level is available
on the state Office of Homeland Security Web site at www.gahomelandsecurity.com.
