MS Office course
The Georgia Center for Continuing Education will offer a four-session course in Microsoft Office 2003 on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m., beginning Oct. 6.

The course offers participants detailed information about the basics of Word, PowerPoint and Publisher. Class sessions continue on Oct. 13, 20 and 27. For registration information, call 542-3537 or go to www.gactr.uga.edu/ppd.

Women’s basketball season tickets
Season ticket packages for the women’s basketball team, which has been ranked no lower than fifth in pre-season polls, are now on sale.

Georgia opens the season on Nov. 17 against Furman and then hosts Texas in a showdown of top-five ranked powerhouses two days later on Nov. 19. The Lady Bulldogs will also play Pac-10 powers Arizona and Arizona State before conference play begins.

All season ticket packages include seats to all 15 home games at Stegeman Coliseum, where the team has compiled a 284-72 record in 29 seasons of play.

Reserved-seat packages are $55 and include a ticket to see the team play Clemson in the Russell Athletic Shootout at the Gwinnett Arena in Duluth on Feb. 13. Reserved-seat tickets save fans $15 off the cost of individual tickets.

Senior citizen season tickets are $40. A family plan season ticket, which includes four general admission tickets (two adult and two youth) to all home games, is $75 total.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the UGA ticket office at 542-1231 or online at www.georgiadogs.com (click on the “tickets” prompt on the left side of the page and then on the “online tickets” prompt near the top of the ticket page that follows).
