Flu shot time
The University Health Center will offer flu shots beginning Oct. 12 to students, faculty, staff and faculty emeritus in high-risk categories—those with chronic illnesses (including asthma) and those age 65 and older.

Vaccinations will be offered on a walk-in basis from 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday-Fridays through Oct. 22. No shots will be given on Mondays. The cost is $15 for students and $20 for faculty and staff, and may be paid with cash, check, debit or credit card. The health center will not file insurance for this service; however, a receipt for individual filing will be provided. An UGACard ID must be presented.

After this two-week period in which vaccinations will be limited to high-risk members of the UGA community, the health center will expand services if sufficient vaccine is available.

For additional information call 542-5575 or check the UHC Web site at www.uhs.uga.edu.

Fitness and wellness classes
Registration has begun for the second session of rec sports fitness and wellness classes. Seven-week classes in pilates, yoga, tai chi, cycle and more begin the week of Oct. 17 and end the week of Nov. 28. There are classes for everyone, from beginner to advanced.

The cost of the aerobics class pass will be cut in half beginning the week of Oct. 17. For only $27.50 purchasers can take any of the 28 aerobic classes offered each week for the rest of the semester.
