Something to talk about

The Carl Vinson Institute of Government served as the base for Gov. Sonny Perdue’s Oct. 22 “Saturday with Sonny.” During this monthly event held at locations throughout the state, citizens are welcome to hold short one-on-one meetings with the governor. The Downs family spent a few minutes discussing the voter ID bill and education funding with the governor. From left, clockwise: Gov. Perdue, Anita Downs, 9-year-old Noah, 5-year-old William, 11-year-old Katherine and Myron Downs. (Photo by Peter Frey)
