Sexual harassment among students looms large on U.S. college campuses
A recent survey found 62 percent of college students experienced episodes of sexual harassment during college.

The survey, conducted by the American Association of University Women’s Educational Foundation, found the experience tended to target men and women about equally, with 61 percent of men and 62 percent of women reporting cases of harassment. Women, however, were more likely to face a greater risk of negative emotional and behavioral responses.

The survey defined harassment as “unwanted and unwelcome sexual behavior that interferes with one’s life.”

Duke cardiologists find that aspirin affects men, women differently
Duke cardiologists announced last month that aspirin helps reduce the risk of malicious heart problems in men and women, but treats the sexes differently.

For women, aspirin reduced their risk of strokes, while it lowered the chances of heart attacks in men. The study, which included data from 95,000 patients, also found that it increased the risk of bleeding in both sexes.

The findings could alter the way doctors prescribe the drug, in part because so little information on aspirin’s affect on women was previously available.
