Appointments

• Patrick Winter has been hired to fill the vacancy of senior associate director of admissions for marketing and recruitment. Winter comes to UGA from Arizona State University, where he was serving as the director of national recruitment.
• The Office of Undergraduate Admissions office also has promoted David Graves from associate director of admissions to senior associate director. In this role, Graves will oversee the operations and processing areas of the office and the selection of applicants.
• Michelle Mohr Carney, a member of the graduate faculty in social work, has been named associate dean of the School of Social Work, pending approval of the University System of Georgia Board of Regents.

Carney’s responsibilities will include coordinating academic planning, school accreditation, faculty development and general administration within the School of Social Work.

Carney succeeds Maurice C. Daniels, who assumed the position of dean of the school this past fall.
