REWARDING TRAVEL—Recipients of the Hugh Kenner Travel Award gave presentations late last semester. Mary Anne Kenner (second from right) was on hand to congratulate (from left) Susan Rosenbaum, Lara Glenum and Aggie Ebrahimi.

A master’s degree candidate, Ebrahimi traveled to New York City, where she gained rare access to Jack Kerouac’s personal writings in a newly acquired collection of the New York Public Library. Glenum, a Ph.D candidate in creative writing, finished translating the Czech poetry of Vladimir Holan for a book she is working on with her husband. And Rosenbaum, an assistant professor of English, attended a conference in the Netherlands. (Photo by Paul Efland)
