Database catalogs research interests

FRED is UGA’s new Faculty Research Expertise Database. Created with the help of chemistry professors Bob Scott and Butch Carreira, the easy-to-use database employs a powerful search engine to return information about UGA faculty research interests. Each faculty profile lists name, department and e-mail address, and provides an option for listing research interests and a link to the faculty member’s Web page. Faculty members can log in to the database with a UGA MyID and edit their research interests and Web link. All UGA employees may search this database to find out about research activities at UGA. Non-UGA users, including faculty at other institutions and the general public, may log in as guests to search the database.
