A reception will follow. More information is available online (www.engineering.uga.edu/events).

Alumni-employees breakfast
The Alumni Association’s ninth annual “Workin’ Like a Dawg” UGA Alumni-Employees Breakfast will be held April 4 from 7:30–9 a.m. in the banquet area of the Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center and Hotel.

All alumni-employees, including Cooperative Extension employees throughout the state, are invited to attend.

A continental breakfast will be served, and Years of Service pins will be issued immediately following the breakfast. Alumni Association members present will be eligible to participate in two grand prize drawings.

Invitations should be received by local alumni employees with an attached RSVP. To reserve a place, return the RSVP to the UGA Alumni Association by March 30 or call (706) 542-2251.

African Night
UGA’s African Student Union will host its annual African Night on March 23. The theme for this year’s show is “American Soil, African Roots, I’m Stuck in Transition.”

Doors open at 7 p.m., and tickets are $6 for students (in advance) and $8 at the door for all others.

African Night will feature different African dishes, dances, skits that have a comical edge but are serious in nature, a student guest speaker who will discuss her own personal experience with transitioning from Africa to America, and a fashion show.

Go online (www.uga.edu/asu) for more information or call Funbi Oluwole at (678) 886-5359 or Oluwatoyin Mayaki at (404) 771-1705.
