Faculty, staff input sought on Student Learning Initiative
UGA faculty and staff are invited to attend one of three public forums this month to learn about and provide input on a Student Learning Initiative to be developed and funded as the university seeks reaffirmation of its accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Students and alumni also are being contacted to solicit their ideas.

Three campus units to move to new quarters
UGA will relocate the College of Environment and Design, the Institute for Women’s Studies and the offices of The Georgia Review literary journal to new quarters.

The College of Veterinary Medicine has appointed Dr. Richard Keith Harris, a nationally recognized leader in pathology and research, as the first holder of the Barry G. Harmon professorship in veterinary pathology and the new head of the department of pathology.
Weekend pass: Talent Identification Program gives young students a taste of college life
More than 100 of the brightest middle and high school students from Georgia and surrounding states will get their first taste of college courses during a Scholar Weekend hosted by UGA’s College of Education Nov. 15–16 through a partnership between UGA and Duke University.
