NIH grant will be used to develop 3-D science lessons
After using three-dimensional models and animation successfully for years to help veterinary students understand complicated biological processes, UGA researchers now want to take the user-friendly lessons to Georgia high school students.

Steve Forbes, magazine publisher and two-time presidential candidate, is the featured speaker at the 26th annual Georgia Economic Outlook luncheon on Dec. 3 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
Global survey ranks UGA’s Executive M.B.A. program among top 25 in U.S.
The Executive M.B.A. program at the Terry College of Business received its highest ranking to date in a global survey published in the Financial Times, one of the world’s leading business news organizations.
American Council on Education president to give McBee Lecture
Molly Corbett Broad, president of the American Council on Education, will be the speaker for the 20th annual Louise McBee Lecture at 11 a.m. on Nov. 14 in the Chapel.
Friday afternoon live
Staff from WUGA-FM 91.7/97.9 FM and the Music Business Certificate Program in the Terry College of Business have teamed up to provide live video on University Channel 15 for the radio station’s It’s Friday show. Video is also being streamed live on the Internet at wuga.org.
Seven faculty members are named 2008-09 Service-Learning Fellows
The Office of Service-Learning has selected seven faculty members as 2008-2009 Service-Learning Fellows. This year-long faculty development program provides an opportunity for fellows to integrate service-learning into their teaching, research and public service work while becoming recognized campus leaders in engaged teaching and scholarship.
Action plan being developed to help UGA’s growing research enterprise
A plan to improve research administration and mitigate compliance risk at UGA will be presented in the winter.
Health law scholar to deliver this year’s Sibley Lecture
The School of Law’s 104th Sibley Lecture, entitled “Presidential DNA and the Public’s Right to Know the (Future) Health of Its Leader,” will be delivered by George J. Annas, Utley Professor at Boston University. The lecture will be held Nov. 13 at 4:30 p.m. in the law school’s Hatton Lovejoy Courtroom. It is free and open to the public.
Nationally recognized research professor to head anatomy, radiology department in veterinary college
The College of Veterinary Medicine has hired a nationally recognized research professor to serve as the head of the anatomy and radiology department. Dr. Steven D. Holladay also will hold the University of Georgia Foundation professorship in veterinary medicine.
