Former band director Roger Dancz dies
Specialist in employment law joins legal staff
The UGA National Alumni Association invited students to a “Welcome Back Rally” on the library quadrangle on North Campus at lunchtime on Aug. 27. Carl Swearingen (at right in upper-left photo), president of the NAA, took advantage of the opportunity to tell students about NAA programs. Pizza was served by David Muia (at right in above photo), the university’s director of alumni relations. Pizza-munching musical accompaniment was provided by a local radio station as well as the Derby Band, a smaller ensemble from the Redcoat Marching Band.
