Faculty Exhibition opens at Georgia Museum of Art
The Faculty Exhibition ’98 will be on display at the Georgia Museum of Art from Sept. 12 through Oct. 25. The artists whose works are included are faculty members in UGA’s Lamar Dodd School of Art.
The exhibition includes paintings by Scott Belville, James Herbert, Stefanie Jackson, Judith McWillie, Richard J. Olsen and Art Rosenbaum; sculptures by Jim Buonaccorsi, Horace Farlowe, Larry Millard, Carol Stavropoulos and Welynda Wright; an installation by Marie Cochran and William Sapp; drawings by Carmon Colangelo, Joe Sanders, Susan Hauptman, Melissa Harshman, Tom Hammond, Diane Edison and William R. Johansen; photography by William Marriott; ceramics by Andy Nasisse and Ted Saupe; metalwork by Gary Noffke; and computer art by Larry Webb.
Curator for the exhibition was Donald Keyes of the museum, and Diane Edison and Ted Saupe of the art school served as coordinators.
An opening reception will be held Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. at the museum. At 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 17, the artists will gather in the Griffith Auditorium at the museum for a panel discussion of the works on display.
The museum is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m. to
9 p.m. Wednesday; and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. For additional information, call 542-4662.
