The museum in cyberspace

www.uga.edu/gamuseum

The Georgia Museum of Art, celebrating its 50th anniversary, has recently launched its new Web site.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Museum, the new site offers a summary of exhibitions and activities at the museum, which is the official state museum of art. It will serve as an especially useful tool for outreach beyond campus. The museum offers resources and programs for teachers and schools, for example, and the Web site’s education segment provides directions for arranging for a docent, borrowing videos and catalogues or attending a workshop. Family days and symposia are listed.
A full schedule of exhibitions for the year is included. The Friends of the Museum page reviews that group’s activities for the year and includes a print-and-mail membership form.
