Irek and Chumbley Piano Duo |

An accomplished composer and conductor as well as a concert pianist, Robert Chumbley currently serves as the executive and music director of the Atlanta Ballet. His compositions of chamber, solo and orchestral music have been performed throughout the United States, Canada and Europe, and he has served as composer-in-residence at music festivals in Europe and the United States. His numerous commissions include one from Opera America for a treatment of the best-selling novel Ordinary People, and he is collaborating with playwright Mark Medoff on an operatic treatment of Medoffs Tony Award-winning play, Children of a Lesser God.Piano, Four Hands; and Messiaens Visions de lAmen. |
