Claire Foley, a prominent archaeologist in Northern Ireland, delivered the 1999 Vincent Lecture for the School of Environmental Design. She focused on the challenge of providing protection for historic Irish architecture and landmarks.
“We have a very big task in Northern Ireland and must be able to take a proactive approach and prioritize. . . . With no intervention, these sites will collapse due to severe weather and erosion.”
